Beginning Percussion Class - NEW!
Tuesdays 3:30 - 4:00pm | Desert Foothills Library
This class is an introduction to music for children ages 5-8 years with a focus on percussion. Simple songs and movement will be employed allowing students to become comfortable engaging in music with others. Class is limited in size. Learn from our new instructor, Cordi DeDecker.

Beginning Recorder Class - NEW!
Tuesdays 4:00 - 4:50pm | Desert Foothills Library
This class introduces the mechanics of playing the soprano recorder and reading simple notes and rhythms, for students ages 9-15 years. An excellent introduction to wind instruments or for students with an interest in recorder ensemble. Class is limited in size. Learn from our new instructor, Cordi DeDecker.

This class introduces students to the world of percussion and drum circles, teaching technique and reading simple notes and rhythmic patterns, for students ages 9-15 years. Class is limited in size. Learn from our new instructor, Cordi DeDecker.

14 Week Semester: September 9 - December 14, 2024
Beginning Violin & Cello Class
Wednesdays 4:00 - 5:15pm | The Holland Center
This combined class, for students ages 6-9 years, focuses on the mechanics of playing the violin and cello, and reading simple notes and rhythms. Violin students arrive at 4:00pm, cello students at 4:20pm, with a 20 minute overlap where both groups participate together. Class is limited in size. Students participate in the end of semester recitals. Instructor: Bella Schwerin
Beginning String Ensemble​
Wednesdays 5:00 - 6:00pm | The Holland Center
For students learning to play violin, viola, and cello in the Beginning Violin and Cello Class. This class focuses on playing together in a string ensemble moving at a beginner-level pace with a focus on the joy of musical interaction. Students participate in the end of semester recitals. Instructor: Bella Schwerin

A new string ensemble for adults who play the violin, viola, cello, or bass at beginning through intermediate levels. Instructor: Bella Schwerin

​​Littles on Fiddles​
Thursdays 4:00 - 5:00pm | Challice Music Studio
Littles on Fiddles is a special violin class for young students, ages 4-6 years, who show a true interest in playing the violin. An interview with instructor Laya Field is required in order to determine readiness to join this class. This class is preparatory for entrance into the Beginning Violin Class and the Jubilate Violin Orchestra. Instructor: Laya Field

​​Intermediate String Ensemble​
Thursdays 5:00 - 6:00pm | Challice Music Studio
A string ensemble class for students, ages 10-18 years, who read music and play violin, viola, or cello at an intermediate level. An interview with Laya Field is required in order to determine readiness to join the class. Instructor: Laya Field

Saturday Music Classes
Jubilate Conservatory of Music offers classes on Saturdays from
10:00am to 1:00pm at the Desert Foothills Library in Cave Creek, Arizona.
Students of all ages are welcome to participate at different times during the three hour period. Adults may attend classes with their children.

Jubilate Violin
Orchestra
String players of all ages and levels play together in a music immersion style of instruction, presided over by JCM instructors. Tuition free!
11:15am - 12:00pm
Music from
the Heart
A fun-filled musicianship class for infants through adults that explores matching pitch, rhythm band, group singing, music theory, and reading music. Tuition free!
12:15pm - 12:45pm
Littles
on Fiddles
A special class for young students, who desire to play the violin, focusing on the mechanics of playing violin and reading simple notes and rhythms. Tuition required.
Online Course

Music Production Workshop | Schedule TBA
Students learn the fundamentals of composition and the ins and outs of collaborating with others while creating a group music video. This class consists of 6 private online lessons and 8 online group sessions. This class is limited to 10 students, ages 12 and older. Instructor: John Gogolewski

Private Lessons​
Private lessons for violin, viola, cello, voice, piano, guitar, percussion, recorder, trumpet, and composition are available in person with some options to learn online. Lessons are scheduled individually in consultation with the instructor. All students in private lessons participate in the end of semester recitals. Our lesson instructors are listed below.
