John Gogolewski teaches private lessons for piano, guitar, and musical composition (music collaboration) at Jubilate. He is skilled at teaching both classical and jazz.
John started playing piano at the age of 8 before teaching himself guitar at age 13. His interest in music led to college level training in jazz piano and voice at McHenry County College in Northern Illinois. John is well-versed in music theory, which he uses while writing and producing his own music. In addition, John plays piano for a church and privately teaches piano, guitar, bass, and voice. He is currently pursuing a degree in Sound Recording Technology at DePaul University in Chicago.
John says, "My teaching philosophy is simple: music is a language. I can teach you the vocabulary and the grammar, and how they relate to everything that makes us human; what you want to say with that language will be up to you."
